This series comprises copies of the transcript from the film Ecumenical Now produced by KQED, San Francisco and presented by Lutheran Film Associates. The film takes the form of a panel discussion exploring issues surrounding the interfaith marriage of Jim McDonald, a Catholic attorney and his Lutheran wife, Nancy. This series includes what appear to be the original transcript and several photostatic copies. The transcript begins after a brief film has been shown of the McDonalds, and their family. In addition to the McDonalds, the panel includes the Rev. Ross Hidy, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, San Francisco, the church attended by Mrs. McDonald; Father Eugene Boyle, Sacred Heart Parish, San Francisco, the church attended by Mr. McDonald; Dr. Paul Empie, General Secretary, U.S.A. National Committee of the Lutheran World Federation; Dr. Kent Knutson, President, Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa; Father Walter Burghardt, Professor of Theology, Woodstock College, Maryland; and Father Harry McSorley, Professor of Theology, St. Paul's College, Washington, D.C.
